Jacob grew up in the Boston area, and trained at Walnut Hill, Boston Dance Company, and Miami City Ballet School.  He was a dancer with José Mateo Ballet Theatre in Cambridge, MA, the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia, and Festival Ballet Providence, RI. Recently he has also performed with North Atlantic Dance Theatre, and City Ballet of Boston, and Robinson Ballet in Maine.

In addition to dance, Jacob is fascinated by mathematics and language, and is currently pursuing a PhD in computational linguistics at McGill University in Montréal.  While trying to balance studying and manage to keep dancing, he also looks for moments to play the fiddle when he has the time.
